What do you Think about WorldCup?

What do you think about ICC Cricket World Cup 2011? Who will be the winner? Who will qualify for the Quarter finals, semifinals and final? Can your team do it? Those are The Questions probably in your mind. Actually this time world cup is very unpredictable and all teams have mixed bag. Australia is the only team hasn’t had a defeat and they get a no result match and they have another match. But we can’t see they perform well in all of their matches. There performance against Zimbawe and Kenya is not up to their stranded. They have some problem with their batting and Clark is the only batsman who are in the runs. If they played srilanka match sometimes they also have a lost. In that match Srilanka Used Three spinners and that might course some problems. All other teams play well in one day and bad in other day. So it is very difficult to predict. I think that should be the World Cup.

Today I’m going to talk about tomorrow big match. This is the match which will decide some places in group A. If srilanka win it they will come to 2^nd place and else they will come to last.

Then I will discuss who has the better chance in this match.

We can’t say much about the wicket. We only have one match in Mumbai. That is New Zeland VS Canada. In that match NZ scored 358 runs and McCullum scored a century. So they have that advantage of playing familiar ground. We can’t say about ground Support .but I think India will support Srilanka because Srilanka is india’s close friend.

 When we look at the last match in Mumbai we can see NewZeland Use there quick ballers and they are succeed. Also Canada spinner Davison balls well. That means, the Wicket Support both Spinners and fast ballers. Srilankan has top class spinners. I’m sure they will go from three spinners as a trial for the final. If they select for the final against the team who can’t handle spinners well that will help them lot. So I think they will go from there 3 spinners and NZ are not good at spinners.

When we look at the team performance Srilanakan top order their entire batsman’s scored in one of the match in worldCup. Three century Holders, Sangakkara is in good form with a good average. But only thing is there middle order. Samaraweera, Silva and Angilo are not in Runs. Siva Scored 50 against Pakistan but he waste lot of balls and that generate pressure for others. The thing I have seen from srilanak is they don’t have middle order batsman’s who can take singles.  But the good thing is one of their batsman score runs and sangakkara is in good consistent form. I think they can handle NZ ballers well and if Vitori play tomorrow he will be the man for NZ. But Srilankans Handle spinners well.

When we look at NZ Tayler and MCCullum are in good form. Also Gupitll . But Taylor cann’t handles malinga well. In 2007 World Cup he had lot of difficulties. McCullum also not played well against srilanka.my men are Ryder,Guptill and styris. They played well against srilanka and handle spinners well.

So they are the Key players for NZ. But In srilanka Mendis and Herath are the key.NZ hasn’t played well against mendis and still they can’t pick him. Herath is balled well and he is new to NZ. Muralli and malinga will make lot of problems. So there batsman have to do well.

I think if srilanka win the toss they will like to bat. They are very good at defending with their balling attack. I think they have the best balling attack now. There is lot of variations and talents in it. if they play more than 270 it is difficult to chance. Malinga,murali,mendis and herath have 40 overs and you have to score more than 5.5 runs per over with these ballers. Also you have to protect your wickets. If srilanka bat first they have a good chance to score 270 with their batting without pressure. But they are bad in chasing. If NZ can 270 on the board and take quick wickets. They can win it. This is the way that I see this match. But srilanka has a small chance. They play under similar conditions, most of the time ground suppot is for Srilanka, and they play against a side that is week under quality spinners. Most of the times, Srilanka have won against NZ in world cups are ICC tournaments.

But if NZ bats first and Ryder,Guptill or Styris gets going we have a good match. I think they are the main key players for NZ. If they have to chace more than 270 in that time also if two of these batsmen get going they can get it against the qulity balling attack of srilanka. Any way srilanka has 55-45 chance.

But who knows. Let’s see tomorrow.
